How does homecoming work at most schools?

The question’s pretty self-explanatory. How does homecoming work at most schools?
Like, are all grades invited? Or is it just for the sports teams? That’s mainly what I’m getting at.

all grades go.
dress up pretty in a cocktail dress, and show up with a bunch of friends/date.
its just to celebrate the start of the school year.

I think all grades are invited. It is not just for the sport teams. Check with your friends.

i believe if its homecoming grades everyone and more is invited because its kind of an open game. but ifs its a dance then idk it depends on how the school does it. i believ that for homecoming its not just sports teams its fans and lots of them! so the more the merrier. unless your school is weird and doesn’t do it like that like all the schools i know do lol.

Everyone was allowed to attend my homecoming grades 9-12 and if you had an date from another school they could attend as well.

JUST the sport teams???? that is the stupidest question EVER!!!! Why would a school put so much work into a dance, that every girl wants to go to, and make it for the retared sports teams!!

Well at my school there is Homecoming Week, Homecoming Game, Homecoming Parade and Homecoming dance.
Everyone can participate. Except in the game where only football players, cheerleaders and pom pons can participate, but you can attend the game.

every grade is invited. basically, its school, and they make all these decorations to dress up the school so it doesnt actually look like a school. you dont have to arrive in limos, cars are perfectly fine. most girls wear short dresses and boys wear a suit. It’s a downgraded version of prom, basically.
