are you in a sorority or something? If so sell like some t-shirts or something. At my school the winning float was some loony tunes thing…

i would find out who you are playing on homecoming night and the phrase your school uses before games like “fry the falcons” or “burn the bears”. then take that phrase literally and base the float after it. ours was fry the falcons and we had a huge fake frying pan with a giant falcon “frying” in the middle of it.
If you are selling door to door (like in elementary school) i would stick with candy or pepperoni sticks. it works well and never gets old. or if your selling to students, super bounce balls, then the whole school will be flled with them and people are easily amused.
