I have a prom dress that’s all black and really sleek. it goes all the way up to my neck in the front but all open in the back. Also i am Asian with straight black hair. what type of hair should i do for prom?

You’re going to want your hair all the way up. Possibly with some pieces in front to frame your face, but certainly nothing below your chin. You want to have a distinct gap between where your hair ends and where your dress begins. A pair of dangly earrings will play up the effect even more.

I think maybe you should curl it, or if your not attached to your long hair get a bob with a fringe!

keep it up in a nice bun but keep it simple. you could use a nice type of clip at the center if you get what i mean.

I would do some type of bun (i would personally say messy. i think it would look beautiful). then, if you can get a curler, curl a little bit of hair (not a clump, a small amount, but not too small). let the curl (have it be a loose curl. a twist, basically) hang in front/on the side of your face.
