Too often women think that they have to put their hair in updos to go to any fancy event, but I beg to differ. Since your hair is straight, how about some soft waves like this-:&tbnh=121&tbnw=105&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dlong%2Bwavy%2Bhair%26svnum%3D10%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

make sure you part your hair to one side and use a medium to large diameter curling iron. Then spray it with a non-crunchy hairspray to keep the curl from falling out.

Oh my gosh, thank goodness it is straight. :D
Well, since it is straight, I suggest leaving it down, but straightening it before you go. Even though it is already straightened, it will help your hair from getting tangled and knatty. If it is long enough, let it come down onto your chest area.

    Good luck! :D
