Prom Night Trailer
January 14th, 2010 | by prom |DrGregoryHouseIT asked:
Before ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’, there was ‘Prom Night’. A 1980 chiller about a killer who is out to avenge the death of a little girl… on Prom Night.

this movie is betta than FT13
they were both filmed in the year so this is not a rip-off but simply a halloween-inspired slasher
the same goes with terror train (1979)

One of the best horror movies of all time. Too bad the “remake” wasnt a remake at all the new story was boring.
Now this one is amazing!!! Jamie Lee and the bad girl character Wendy are incredible,
The killer motives are really impressive.

This is a great trailer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have seen the movie Prom Night. I like it a lot. I have seen all of Jamie Lee Curtis’s horror films. I love the song ‘Prom Night Everything Is Allright’. It is awesome. Such a creepy horror film trailer. It is a definite classic in my mind. The spooky sounds the killer makes have always fascinated me. Anyway it’s not my favorite film ever. My favorite film ever is halloween 1978. Wow i’v said a lot. Gotta go. Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And lastly, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. What might be a great movie to some, will be a bore to others, and vis-versa.
Not everyone in the world has the same taste in movies (as well as music, food, clothes, etc).
Just because someone has a different style then you, does not make them “movie morons.”
You guys need to respect that some people prefer the 2008 version, and others need to respect that you guys prefer the original.
Thank you.

If you would notice, this version has one killer after several girls. The newer Prom Night has one killer after one girl. The motive in this version is revenge, the motive for the other is psychotic love.
It was very loosely based off of it. Everyone on here saying that the director of the 2008 version is “brain-dead” and cant direct, is completely wrong. He has been directing for several years and has worked on several major tv series including House, Nip/Tuck, CSI, and ER (to name a few)

I just read through most of the comments, and I have to say, the person who posted this video (and several other commentators) are very single-minded.
I am majoring in Film and Film Editorial; I have seen so many films from every genre and every time period. Yes, this is a very good classic movie. But the remake was excellent as well.
And the remake did not “ruin the original” because it was not meant to be like the original, it was simply taken from the idea and given the same name.

You should learn things before you mouth off like a little troll, the press release said it was a ‘loose remake’ of the 1980 film. They would of given it another title if it was a completely different movie and it sucked anyway only idiots like you liked it
By adorable097 on Feb 9, 2010 | Reply
that wasn’t a remake! they just had the same name, u should learn about things before you talk! of course you would think they ruined the story, because it’s A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY!

I do. Cause these just aren’t scary at all. And it looks too fake, and the acting could have been better.

you seen stephen king’s ‘creepshow’ it creeps you out so bad i couldnt watch it again ….til now
By KaydeyRai on Feb 15, 2010 | Reply
This is so much better than that crappy remake, they totally ruined the story in the 2008 version

And the cheery one saying ‘Prom Night!’ is called ‘Prom Night (Part 2)’.

This movie is awesome. The best part is the blond chick who has the chase scene through the school. That part scared the shit out of me when I saw this as a kid on TV. Funny how back in the 70’s all the teenagers were played by actors who looked more like they should be playing the parents..but we all just accepted it. lol
