How do I pick the right prom dress?

Prom is like 4 months away but I am already thinking about it and I need help picking out a prom dress. I am totally lost when it comes to what style or color I should choose. I am 5′8″ ish and about 135 pounds. I’m pretty average sized and proportionate but I am probably and hourglass shape becuz i do have a small waist. I also have pale skin and brown hair.

Color Wise I Think Pink, Blue, Lime Green, Orange. Basically Bright Spring Colors!!!????????????????????????????????????????

with pale skin you have to be careful, maybe not something pink, light yellow or light green because it will make you look even more pale. Maybe you can go with a dark-navy blue or purple, that would look good with dark hair and pale skin.

Your description matches me… all they way down to the pale skin lol.
The best way to find what works for you is to actually go to a store and try some on. I always picked mine out of a catalog or something but when I went and tried it on, hated it and ended up with something else. Start early and just go experiment.

If you have pale skin and brown hair you might want to try a red colour dress, It’ll stand out against your pale skin and if you sweep your hair up like this:
It’ll look elegant alongside the dress

go online to find styles you like then start looking in stores some styles are: strapless, halter-top, and cowl-neck, all in the evening gown style and chooses colours that compliments your skin colour. hope this helps.

i would go with the classic black, long dress for the classy look or if you want to change it up, get a mini dress in a pale pink or off white color with bows on it for a feminine look.

u can wear a red dress or a silver or a green dress u know. it should be frilly at the bottom. and should be correct at the waist then u will look slim.

The color turquoise or purple always looks really pretty with brown hair. The shape and style is completely up to you cuz you want to feel pretty and comfortable in what you are wearing. But i would suggest a below the knee slightly flared from the waist dress.
