Okay, i bought this yelloe prom dress, and i just realized it has a small blood stain on it, and i don’t want to mess it up by cleaning it without knowing how to properly clean it, it’s made of 100% polyester.

thanks!

You might lay the spot over a towel, then pour peroxide over it, maybe scrub gently with old soft toothbrush.

Lemon juice might also work if that doesn’t, don’t believe it will bleach it out………..

pour peroxide over the stain and let it sit for about 20 minutes or so then rinse with cool water. you may have to repeat this. peroxide is the best for getting out blood stains and other organic stains, such as chocolate milk. I hope this helps!

    take two white washcloths,
Lay the area of the stained material over one dry white washcloth on a hard surface like the ironing board or table. The exterior of the dress should be facing up, and the inside of the dress fabric will be flat against the white washcloth on the ironing board.
Next scrape the exterior surface of the stain with a smooth blunt object like the edge of a spoon, to remove or loosen any excess stain from the dress.
Next soak the other white washcloth in Cold water and wring it out as much as possible.
Put a tiny amount of Woolite onto the cold damp washcloth and then gently dab this onto the stained area until the stain is moistened wet with the Woolite.
After a few minutes, check the underneath washcloth to see if the stain is coming out onto the underneath washcloth. If not, you might need to let an older stain wait for a few minutes until trying to remove it.
Next, using a flat surface like the edge of a smooth spoon, gently “push’ the stain into the underneath washcloth. Be careful to not rub on the fabric threads and focus only on the area of the stain.
if the stain is in an area that can be soaked in a mixture of woolite and water, just put the stained area into a small pail with woolite and water for 2 days and most of it should scrape into the washcloth underneath. As the stain is coming out onto the dry washcloth, move to a clean area on the underneath washcloth so it does not spread the stain.
